Year End Banquet/Charity Solo December 17, 2011
We would like to thank everyone who attended the banquet and charity solo event in Jekyll Island this year. We look forward to another great year in 2012!
Sibling Rivalry Car Show November 12, 2011
The Jacksonville Solo group is helping out the Sibling Rivalry car show once again on Saturday November 12, 2011 and in exchange we get a booth right next to the main stage at the top of the parking garage. We provide cones for traffic control. Setup for the cones will be around 1:30pm that afternoon and the rest of the vendors will arrive around 2pm. The show actually starts at 5pm and lasts until 9pm. We stay late because we need to collect the cones after the show. Last year was a lot of fun and this is definitely one of (if not the) largest car show in Jacksonville.
Volunteers are needed to help work our booth! We hand out flyers and talk to folks about the SCCA in general as well as Solo events, etc. In exchange for volunteering, your car can be used as part of our booth. The only caveat is that you will need to bring your race tires, stickers, etc and make your car at least appear to be ready to hit the solo course. Volunteers will be needed starting around 5pm and will need to stay around until the end (between 9pm-10pm).
Register online to volunteer (just don't pay at paypal) or you can use the early worker assignment section to sign up to volunteer.
Come on out and volunteer and have a blast spreading the word of our sport and seeing some pretty awesome show cars too! I promise you won't be disappointed!

Make a Difference - Join the Board Of Directors
It's that time of year again when we recruit members to run for a seat on our BoD. There will be two terms expiring in both the north and south areas. It would be great if there was enough interest in those seats that we'd actually have to take it to vote. We meet only 6 times a year and are experimenting with conference calls so the task is not too daunting. Please consider running or convincing another member you think would be good in a leadership role. Download the Nomination Form Nominations must be received by the Secretary no later than Monday, October 31.
Please remember the SIC and the solo event at Roebling coming up in October.
Another happening coming up is our year end meeting and banquet on Jekyll Island.That date is Dec. 17th and details will be coming soon.
